Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar Disorder (BD) brings many challenges and suffering until the patient receives a diagnosis.

Bipolar Disorder is usually diagnosed as type I, type II, or cyclothymic, but there are some other conditions that fall under the category of Bipolar Disorder, and the average time to obtain an accurate diagnosis can take 5 to 10 years.

A thorough diagnosis and working with a psychologist specializing in Bipolar Disorder is essential.

During therapy, I work on the psychoeducation of the patient so that they can have a lighter and more productive life.

One of the focuses in therapy is also neuroplasticity, because it is essential for improving quality of life, since the brain adapts to new situations.
